Dear Kazakhstan people!
As you know, the Ministry of Healthcare officially announced that 9 people of Kazakhstan had been infected with the coronavirus. Presently there is a threat of spread of the virus. The virus came from abroad. All those infected are under medical supervision. The people who they contacted with have been identified and placed under medical supervision too. Kazakhstan was among the first to establish a special expert headquarters and a governmental commission, as well as adopted the Plan on countering the virus's spread. The coronavirus is pandemic as it had been declared by the World Health Organization and it has reached the alarming level. For this reason, in accordance with the national legislation, I decreed to impose the state of emergency in the territory of our country. The state of emergency imposes at 8 a.m. on March 16, 2020 and will last 30 days. The regime may be extended if necessary.
The decree provides for the necessary prophylactic and preventive activities.
