The allocation of educational grants within the framework of the «Білікті маман» project was discussed at the meeting. In accordance with the instruction of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, we have increased the volume of the state educational order. This year 450 grants have been allocated at the expense of the local budget. 222 of them are for technical specialties from IT technologies to metallurgy. At the same time, the education department, together with the Chamber of Entrepreneurs and our industrial enterprises, have done a lot of work and determined that by 2026 we need to train almost 7 thousand specialists. At the same time, all of them will be in demand and, very importantly, employed. Also, within the framework of the project, we allocate grants for training students in medical and pedagogical specialties. This year, with 25 grants, we will train students in the direction of veterinary medicine and animal husbandry. There are not enough of these specialists in the field. In general, huge funds have been invested in higher education and the VET system today, faculties, scientific laboratories, competence centers have been opened, dormitories are being built. We will continue to develop the «Білікті маман» project. And next year we will increase the number of grants by another 50 places.
