Held a meeting on the completion of the construction and reconstruction of the airport in Urdzhar. This project is being implemented within the framework of the Employment Roadmap program. Our tourist cluster is located in the Urdzhar district, the pearl of East Kazakhstan is Lake Alakol, so it is very important that by the beginning of the season the airport can already receive tourists. This is a big step in the development of this industry in the region. Now one of the main stages is the installation of modern lighting equipment that will allow aircraft to be received at night. I instructed the designers to invite expert companies to make sure that the installation was carried out correctly and without deviations. The safety of flights and passengers depends on this. Work is being completed on the runway, its width has increased by 35 meters, and its length is up to 2.7 kilometers. After modernization, the Urdzhar village airport will be able to receive not only small aircraft, but also Embraer, Bombardier and other class aircraft. This will increase the flow of tourists to the coast of Lake Alakol. I also want to note that after the reconstruction is completed, the capacity of the Urdzhar Airport building will increase to 150 passengers per hour.
