Dear fellow countrymen!!!

Held a meeting with the akims of cities and districts. First of all, I would like to thank all those East Kazakhstan citizens who did not succumb to extremist provocations, thanks to your prudence, we managed to avoid cases of looting. To date, more than 1,000 people have been detained, an investigation will be conducted on each of them, and all extremists will be punished in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This is the first time we have faced a terrorist threat of this magnitude, but I want to assure you that the situation in the region is stable now:

public transport is operating, inter-district bus service is functioning, all banks, ATMs, shops, pharmacies and social facilities are operating normally. There are no problems with cash at ATMs.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made an appeal to the Majilis, I instructed to conduct explanatory work with the population and government agencies and prepare algorithms for the tasks set by the Head of State. Security is now a key factor, there are technical proposals to improve the equipment of the Armed Forces of the region. In addition, the most important issue is pricing, the relevant departments should ensure control of the cost of socially significant goods. During the meeting, I instructed representatives of the agro-industrial complex to develop proposals for subsidizing this sector. I would also like to note that not a single message from citizens received during these days will be ignored.

As for the situation with COVID-19, we manage to contain the spread of the virus, but we need to strengthen the work on vaccination and revaccination of citizens.
