Complaints and Proposals Portal Launched in Kazakhstan

Complaints and Proposals Portal Launched in Kazakhstan

Everyone has ever purchased defective goods and got poor services. It happens even more often that the sellers give inaccurate information about the nature and characteristic of goods, and even they hide it. Such cases are related to the sphere of protection of consumer rights and are regulated by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Protection of Consumer Rights” dated May 4, 2010.

To combat such phenomena and provide more effective and affordable opportunities for consumer protection, at the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Trade and Integration launched the Single Information System for Consumer Rights Protection (SISCRP). The portal is available on the website e-tutynushy.kz.

The SISCRP is an online platform that gathers the most relevant information on consumer protection issues for Kazakhstan people. Moreover, on the website you can find contacts of human rights defenders or leave complaints to the management of companies and organizations that have violated the law on consumer protection.

By the way, complaints are considered at all levels of the consumer protection system:

- sellers (producers, performers) of goods (works, services), initiators (organizers) of games;

- public associations of consumers, associations (unions), legal consultants who are members of the Chamber of Legal Consultants and those provide legal aid, and other persons in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- subjects of pre-trial settlement of consumer disputes;

- an authorized agency for the protection of consumer rights.

To send a complaint, you need to authorize on the e-tutynushy.kz website.

Also, concerning consumer rights protection, you can contact the Department for Consumer Rights Protection of East Kazakhstan region, located at: 20 Burov St., Ust-Kamenogorsk city, tel.: 8 (7232) 267-207. E-mail: dzpp.vko@mti.gov.kz.
