Danial Akhmetov shared progress on the development of road transport infrastructure of East Kazakhstan region

The first stage of the road and transport infrastructure development is nearing completion in Ust-Kamenogorsk city. Four years ago, we agreed on a number of decisions that have been almost achieved to date.

“Now we are finishing the construction of Esenberlin Street with access to the Almaty highway. The project of Satpayev Street with access to the Samara highway has already been completed. The repair of the road from the pontoon bridge up to Menovnoye settlement has been prolonged in a way, but at the same time, we expanded the traffic way inside this settlement and, also, equipped an exit to the road of the republican significance Ust-Kamenogorsk – Almaty,” the head of the region wrote on his Instagram page.

The next stage includes the expansion of the highways’ exits in the direction of Almaty and Semey, as well as the expansion of the traffic way on several streets of the regional center and the continuation of Astana street.

“I am glad that investors are interested in our city and are ready to invest their own funds in the implementation of large-scale projects”, said the head of the region.

In 2022, a major reconstruction of the streets of Semey city is envisaged; repairs will cover 50 kilometers of urban roads. The construction of a bypass road is crucial as well,” wrote the regional akim.
