Danial Akhmetov launched the construction of the Monument to the Independence in Ust-Kamenogorsk city

Today, the head of the region Danial Akhmetov, together with the elders of the region and representatives of the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan, took part in the ceremony of laying a capsule on the site of the future monumental complex, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Monument to the Independence is a grandiose structure that will be erected in Ust-Kamenogorsk city at the intersection of Kazybek bi and Ilyas Esenberlin Avenues. The plotline of the monument will be the history of the establishment of the Kazakh state.

The composition will be located on a six-sided foundation. In its lower part, the project foresees a bas-relief to reflect the main milestones of the history of Kazakhstan's development. In the central part of the monument there are sculptures of three supreme biys - Tole-bi, Kazybek-bi and Aiteke-bi. On the sides of the Monument there are fragments of the code of laws of the Zhety Zargy adopted by the Kazakh Khanate. In the upper part, the author of the composition placed the sculptures of the founders of the Kazakh Khanate - the khans Kerey and Zhanibek.

“The monument reveals the essence of the development of our state. We put the text in the capsule - these are the words of Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev about the difficult path that our country went through before establishing a sovereign state, as well as an appeal to future generations,” Danial Akhmetov noted during the event.

All sculptures will be made of bronze, and the walls of the monument will be made of white marble. The architect and author of the project is artist Sarsen Siitov. The project should be completed by the Independence Day.
