East Kazakhstan region is building a professional track for BMX cross-country cycling

Representatives of the International Cycling Federation advise and monitor the work of builders

Residents of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, while walking in the Samal park, probably noticed that a large track for BMX cross-country is being built there - a type of cycling fashionable all over the world, which has been considered an Olympic discipline since 2008.

The progress of construction was inspected by Akim of East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov. “BMX is not just a huge layer of youth culture, it is a lifestyle for many cycling enthusiasts. The track that we are building in the regional center will meet all international standards. And the track area will be exactly the same as at the Tokyo Olympics. There will be tracks for both cyclocross lovers and professional athletes. I am sure that we will be able to hold world-class competitions on the track,” said the head of the region during this visit.

He also stressed that the builders are consulted by the representatives of the International Cycling Federation from Moscow city, therefore, all requirements were taken into account in the design and construction observing all relevant parameters.
