A Hybrid Wholesale and Retail Entertainment Center to be built in Ust-Kamenogorsk city

REC will be located in Ust-Kamenogorsk region in KShT microdistrict. The head of the region Danial Akhmetov held a meeting with Akim of Ust-Kamenogorsk city and design specialists on the construction of a wholesale distribution center.

REC will be located in the KShT microdistrict, on Zhibek Zholy Street. This place was chosen taking into account the convenience for logistics – with bypass roads from Almaty and Semey cities. This means that lorries will be able to quickly get to the center, without creating an additional load on the city's road transport network.

By the way, lorry drivers will no longer have to pass the night in a lorry on the highway, since a hotel will be provided for their rest in the center. Drivers and entrepreneurs will be able to process all the necessary documents, carry out examinations and get quality certificates right at the REC. Also, the complex will have a customs control zone for representatives of the CIS countries and far abroad.

First of all, according to Danial Akhmetov, cross-docks will be built, which entrepreneurs will be able to rent for placement, acceptance and shipment of their goods. Then the construction of trade pavilions will begin, where residents of the region will be able to purchase various products at fair prices without intermediaries and dealers.

“The wholesale and retail center will not only be for shopping, we also plan it to have a cafe and even a cinema so that people can spend time with the whole family. We saw a similar complex in Kazan, it has proved itself to be successful. In general, the REC will help to reduce the unrealistically high prices for products in the region,” said the regional akim.
