“We are step by step moving towards becoming the most highly effective medical region. In Semey this year, we launched the Center for Nuclear Medicine and Oncology and a Children Rehabilitation Center is under construction. Mother and Child’s Center has been launched in Ust-Kamenogorsk, the construction of a Hematological Center is underway, in which it is planned not only to treat blood diseases, but also to conduct research work,” said Akim of East Kazakhstan region.
He said that indicators of early diagnosis of various diseases have significantly increased in the region, a robotic surgery center and a hybrid operating room are operating, unique surgical interventions and organ transplantation are being carried out. The health care development program will continue. In recent years, more than KZT159 billion has been allocated to this sector.
“The park of ambulances has been renewed by 216 cars, this is currently the highest indicator in Kazakhstan. Moreover, we are doing a lot of work aimed at developing human capital. We have purchased unique medical equipment and modern medical equipment meeting the world standard, but they will be useless if we do not improve the quality of knowledge of our medical workers.
For this reason, we have adopted a special program, according to which 5,500 specialists passed training and advanced training, including in clinics of the UK, Poland and the Russian Federation. This year, despite all the difficulties associated with the pandemic, 82 people go to Israel, Poland and other European countries,” added Danial Akhmetov.
