More than 3,700 LED lamps have been installed as part of the project to modernize the street lighting system in Semey city. This is almost half of the planned volume. The installation of new lamps is carried out by 5 teams of Gorsvet LLP and OESK JSC. On average they install 120-140 lamps per day.
It’s worth noting that according to the project in Semey, it is planned to replace 7,659 lamps on 136 streets, as well as 687 poles, 130 km of cable, and install 196 control cabinets. The first batch of equipment was delivered to East Kazakhstan region at the end of 2020. The main task of the project is to introduce the intelligent system for controlling street lamps with the replacement of outdated gas-discharge lamps with LED ones with the highest luminous efficiency, increased dispersion coverage and the ability to smoothly control the luminous flux. In the course of modernization of the street lighting system, the latest world developments are involved, which make it possible to achieve an average of 60% energy savings.
