100 years anniversary of the Aqiqat magazine

On April 28, at 11.00, the regional library named after A.S. Pushkin organizes an online meeting with a journalist, writer, editor-in-chief of the national socio-political magazine "Aqiqat" Dauirzhan Zhumazhanuly Tulebayev.
The first issue of the magazine "Aqiqat" ("Qyzyl Qazaqstan") was published on September 15, 1921 in Orenburg. Its name was changed several times, and finally the name "Aqiqat" became the most accurate and comprehensive view of the socio-political life of the country after independence. Qyzyl Qazaqstan raised topical issues, despite the fact that its opportunities were limited and blocked by strict censorship. Moreover, it faced issues of literary criticism, as the first literary works of Kazakh writers were published on its pages.
This year marks the centennial of the magazine. The "National Studies", "In the Wave of History", "Wise Advice", "Platform for Free Thought" and other columns discuss the socio-political and economic life of the country. The journal also makes a significant contribution to the development of the political lexicon of the Kazakh language, the formation of scientific terminology.
