New akim of Semey city appointed

New akim of Semey city has been appointed by the order of the head of East Kazakhstan Danial Akhmetov.

During the II extraordinary session of the city maslikhat, which took place today, the deputies unanimously supported the candidacy of Nurymbet Saktaganov as akim of Semey city.

Let’s note, he previously held the post of akim of Ulan district. Danial Akhmetov introduced the new akim to the city activists. The head of the region also thanked the ex-akim Yermak Salimov for his work and stressed that he would continue to be the adviser to the regional akim on housing and construction issues.

Nurymbet Amanovich Saktaganov was born in 1970 in South Kazakhstan region. Graduated from Kyzylorda Pedagogical Institute, Kyzylorda Agricultural and Technical College, Distance Education Institute of MESI, Kyzylorda Institute of Economics, Statistics and Information of MESI, S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan State University as a teacher, accountant, lawyer by professions, as well as majoring in Economics and Business.

He started his career in 1992 as a teacher in secondary school No. 172 in Kyzylorda city. He served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 1993-1994, after the army he continued to work in secondary school No. 9 in Kyzylorda city.

In 1995-2001, he worked as an inspector, senior inspector, chief inspector, head of a department, deputy head of a department of Customs Administration in Kyzylorda region, in 2001-2006 he held the positions of a chief inspector, Assistant Chairman, head of a department of the Customs Committee of the Ministry of State Revenues of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2006-2007, he was the chief inspector of the Government Representation in the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, head of a department, adviser to the Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In September 2007, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Migration Committee of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2010-2012 worked as a state inspector of State Control and Organizational and Territorial Work Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2012, he was appointed Deputy Akim of East Kazakhstan region.

In 2015, he was appointed the First Deputy Akim of East Kazakhstan region. Since May 2018, he held the office of akim of Ulan district. It should also be noted that the new akim of Semey city is a father of many children, who is upbringing seven children.
