In the UAPF, pension accounts for OPV are opened automatically
Now the procedure for opening a pension account in the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund has been simplified and does not require the personal presence of the depositor. In accordance with the amendments to the Law on Pension Provision of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to open an individual pension account (IPS) for the accounting of mandatory pension contributions (OPV), an individual does not need to contact the service offices of the UAPF in order to file an application for the opening of an IPS.
Recall that if an individual does not currently have an IPS in the UAPF, then it opens automatically upon receipt of the first installment. At the same time, the identification of an individual is carried out using personal data (full name, IIN, date of birth) specified in the electronic format of the payment order when transferring the OPV, and all the necessary information about the details of a valid identity document of an individual, about the place of permanent residence, the UAPF will receive from the information systems of state bodies.
Thus, from January to May (inclusive) of the current year, more than one million accounts were opened automatically upon receipt of the first installment, or rather 1,075,220 IPS. This is nine times more than accounts were opened last 2019 for the same period, when 121,032 IPS were opened in the first five months.
It is worth noting that when the IPS is automatically opened, the depositor is informed about the state of pension savings exclusively by personal contact with the UAPF service offices. However, you can choose a more convenient way without even coming to the offices of the UAPF. It is enough just to register using an electronic digital signature on the fund's website, and control your savings in your personal account on the UAPF website itself (www.enpf.kz ) or in the mobile application (ENPF).
