The key to the realization of the constitutional right to participate in elections is your inclusion in the voter list.
The lists are compiled by local executive bodies (akimats) on the basis of permanent registration at the place of residence on the territory of a particular polling station. Citizens who do not have permanent registration are included in the lists on the basis of an application submitted to the akimats at their location.
Every citizen who cannot appear at the polling station at the place of registration on the day of voting has the right to submit an application to the relevant akimat a month before the voting day, that is, no later than October 20, 2022, and register at the polling station at their actual location.
Upon receipt of the application, the akimat organizes the exclusion of a citizen from the list of voters at the place of registration and his inclusion in the list of the voting precinct.
This right:
- citizens who know that on the day of voting at the place of registration;
- nonresident students studying in specialized secondary and higher educational institutions, living outside of dormitories;
- citizens working on a shift basis.
A citizen can be included in only one voter list.
You can check whether you are included in the list of voters at the place of registration through the website of the relevant akimat or the Call Center.
From November 4, 2022, you will be given the opportunity to check your data in the voter lists at your polling station.
