On March 30, 2021, at the site of the WKO Chamber of Entrepreneurs, was a meeting about liability for violation of gambling legislation with the participation of the Deputy Head of the Department of Economic Investigations Kenes Aslan and Deputy Director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs Magripa Nigisheva, as well as representatives of the prosecutor's office, education and the local police service of the WKO.

According to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 12, 2007 № 219 "On Gambling Business", casino and slot machine halls must be located only in the Almaty region on the coast of the Kapshagai reservoir and in the Shchuchinsky district of the Akmola region Apart from these territories, it is prohibited to place casinos and slot machine halls in the rest of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to Deputy Director of the Chamber of entrepreneurs Magripa Nigisheva, special attention should be paid to the joint responsibility of tenant business.Deputy head of the Department of Economic investigation Kenes Aslan warned about the possibility of criminal liability for violations. Also, representatives of the Department of State Revenue noted the need to comply with the requirements of tax legislation, and representatives of the prosecutor's office suggested strengthening joint work on the Prevention of violations of the law.

We want to remind that liability for organizing illegal gambling business is punishable by a fine of 2,000 MRP or imprisonment for up to 2 years or confiscation of property under Article 307 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
