A seminar for judges of the city court will be held

On October 13, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with Qazpatent will hold a seminar on the topic «Issues in the field of intellectual property» for judges of the city court.

Intellectual property plays a key role in the modern world, influencing economic growth, innovation and competitiveness of the country. With the increasing importance of intellectual property, the protection of intellectual property becomes of unprecedented importance.

Given the importance of the judicial role in dispute resolution, the need for continuous improvement of judges' knowledge in the field of intellectual property has increased.

Within the framework of the seminar, the participants will be familiarized with the issues of legal protection of copyright in the Republic of Kazakhstan, legal protection of a trademark: definition of similarity to the degree of confusion, topical issues in the field of patenting, litigation in the field of intellectual property.

Vice Minister Zhaxelekova B.Sh. stressed the importance of ensuring uniform law enforcement practice and further improvement of legislation in the field of intellectual property in order to protect the rights and legitimate interests of citizens.

Chairman of the Astana сity сourt Zhumagulov A.M. also noted the specifics of the intellectual property sphere, the need to understand the impact of court decisions on the intellectual property market as a whole.

Following the results of the seminar, the participants agreed on further cooperation and joint activities on intellectual property issues.
