PRESS RELEASE on the Republican campaign "Counterfeit"

From April 8 to may 17, 2019, the Republican action "Counterfeit"was held.

The action was organized by the Ministry of justice together with the ministries of internal Affairs, Finance, culture and sports, with the support of organizations managing property rights on a collective basis and patent attorneys.

Within the framework of the campaign, Republican competitions, round tables, Internet conference, meetings with entrepreneurs on industrial sites, seminars in the regions of Kazakhstan with the involvement of territorial units of the national chamber of entrepreneurs "Atameken" to clarify issues of protection of intellectual property rights were held.

This action was implemented by the Ministry of justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to reach the population and draw attention to the problem of distribution of counterfeit products.

Distribution of counterfeit goods poses a threat to human health and safety, violates the rights of the author, the owner of the intellectual property object and damages the economy of the state. 

The peculiarity of the Republican campaign "Counterfeit", held this year was the involvement of young people to demonstrate their attitude to counterfeiting and explain its harm. 

Much attention was paid to the Republican competitions for the best video "No counterfeit in Kazakhstan" on the social network Instagram among the citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the best essay on "Intellectual property and the model of the state of 2050" among young people aged 14 to 16 years.

The results of the event were announced at the ceremony of awarding the winners of national competitions on may 17 this year.

Thus, the best essay on "Intellectual property and the model of the state in 2050" recognized the work of Yana Konstantinovna Korabelnikova.

In the competition for best short video (vine) "No counterfeit goods in Kazakhstan" in the category "Most informative video" found a video (vine) Norseman Mereke, students Sixcore humanitarian-economic College of Almaty region, and in the nomination "the largest number of hits" found a video (vine) Jaabi Almaty Jiabaili, student of Kostanai Polytechnic College.

The award ceremony was completed with a festive concert with the participation of Kazakh pop stars.
