Meeting the mission of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights for Europe and Central Asia headed by Ms. Hulan Tsedev

 In order to develop cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Office of United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, on November 21, 2022, A.Yekhlassova - the Director of the Department of International Law and Coordination of Work in the Field of Human Rights,  met with Ms. Hulan Tsedev – head of the mission of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights for Europe and Central Asia.

The members of the delegation were  informed about  the ongoing reforms in Kazakhstan and the work on the implementation of the recommendations of the UN Member States following the results of the third review within the framework of the Universal Periodic Review, as well as the work carried out jointly with government agencies and civil society, including in the preparation of Interim information of the country on the implementation of these recommendations. In her speech the Director noted the work on the implementation of human rights indicators developed by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

Ms. Hulan Tsedev noted the importance of the work within the framework of ensuring the rule of law and effectiveness of the joint work carried out.

The parties discussed issues of cooperation and expressed hope for further fruitful work.

The meeting was held in a friendly and warm atmosphere.
