The Minister of Justice met with the SCO Secretary General

Оn June 4, 2022, on the eve of the Republican Referendum, Minister of Justice Kanat Musin held a meeting with an observer mission from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) headed by SCO Secretary General Zhang Ming. The meeting was also attended by Vice-Minister of Justice Alma Mukanova and observers from the SCO and the SCO RATS. During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on the upcoming referendum and discussed its organizational aspects. The Minister of Justice stressed that the Constitutional changes will allow achieving a comprehensive transformation of the entire state model, and also thanked the Secretary General for forming an observer mission for the upcoming national referendum in our country. The Secretary General, in turn, expressed gratitude to the Minister of Justice and highly appreciated the successes of Kazakhstan in socio-economic development and the large-scale reforms carried out under the leadership of the President. At the end of the meeting, the parties wished mutual success in organizing, conducting and monitoring the referendum, as well as issues of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the SCO.
