Minister of Justice K. Musin met with the UNHCR Representative for Central Asia, Mr. Hans Friedrich Schodder

On May 13, 2022, Minister of Justice K. Musin met with the UNHCR Representative for Central Asia, Mr. Hans Friedrich Schodder.

During the meeting, the Minister of Justice informed the participants about the ongoing reforms in the country, the legislation and international treaties concluded by Kazakhstan in the field of protection of refugees and stateless persons, including changes in the sphere of civil registration.

In turn, Mr. Schodder noted Kazakhstan's achievements in reducing statelessness and thanked for the cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the Representation UNHCR in Central Asia.

The sides discussed issues of cooperation in the field of reducing statelessness and protecting refugees, and also wished each other fruitful work.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere.
