The territorial justice bodies held round tables with representatives of law enforcement agencies on legal education practice in the field of protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights within the framework of the republican campaign «Counterfeit».

On May 4-6, 2022 the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and territorial justice bodies held round tables with representatives of law enforcement agencies on legal education practice in the field of protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights within the framework of the republican campaign «Counterfeit».

The round tables were attended by representatives of the Prosecutor's Office, police, economic investigations, state revenue departments and regional Chambers of Entrepreneurs of the regions, Almaty and Shymkent cities.

During the events the participants considered the issues of  law enforcement practice (including in relation to imported goods identified by state revenue bodies during thematic tax audits, registration of inspections on materials regarding trademarks received from state revenue bodies and economic investigations), interaction and cooperation (development of joint plans, memoranda on improving the field of intellectual property) in the field of protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights.

Thus, the issues of cyber-violations were discussed at the Aktobe Justice Department during the round table.

Also, the issues of the development of the creative economy were discussed at the Department of Justice of the East Kazakhstan region, and problematic issues in the fight against counterfeiting were discussed in Shymkent city.
