The jubilee meeting of the IAC on legislative activities

On December 12, 2019, the 500th anniversary meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Legislative Activities was held at the Ministry of Justice.

The event was attended by deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the non-governmental sector, the business community, as well as government agencies.

In his welcoming speech, Minister of Justice Marat Beketaev noted that the work of the Interdepartmental Commission is aimed at maximum openness, a comprehensive discussion of legislative activity and cooperation between state bodies and non-governmental organizations.

“The interdepartmental commission makes a significant contribution to lawmaking. Thank you for your work, ”M. Beketaev said.

After the welcoming speech, the Minister turned to the agenda.

During today's meeting, draft laws initiated by deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan were considered: on amendments to the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Subsoil and Subsoil Use” on the issues of geological exploration of subsoil, on amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on support for use renewable energy and electricity.

It is worth noting that over the course of 17 years, the Interdepartmental Commission considered more than 700 concepts of draft laws, more than 140 draft laws initiated by deputies of the Parliament, more than 170 resolutions of the Government and over 300 separate issues related to legislative activities.
