Within the framework of the General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization in the period from October 4 to 8, 2021 in Geneva (Switzerland) Vice-Minister of Justice A. Akhmetova held the meetings with D. Tang, WIPO Director General, WIPO Deputy Directors General S. Forben and H. Kleib, Sh. Saadallah, Director of the WIPO Academy.

Within the framework of the General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization in the period from October 4 to 8, 2021 in Geneva (Switzerland) Vice-Minister of Justice A. Akhmetova held the meetings with D. Tang, WIPO Director General, WIPO Deputy Directors General S. Forben and       H. Kleib, Sh. Saadallah, Director of the WIPO Academy.

During the meeting with D. Tang issues of further legislation improvement in the intellectual property field, accession of the Republic of Kazakhstan to new international treaties administered by WIPO were discussed.

Issues of copyright and related rights protection and enhancement, the activity of Collective Management Organizations, prospects for the development of the creative economy, support of small and medium-sized businesses were the subject of discussions with S. Forben and H. Kleib.

During the online meeting with Sh. Saadallah the Kazakhstan's initiative on opening a WIPO Summer school in the Republic of Kazakhstan was supported.

At the end of the meetings the parties agreed on further fruitful cooperation.
