On October 5, 2021, Vice-Minister of Justice A. Akhmetova met with the UN Special Rapporteur on the Rights to Freedom of Peaceful Assembly and of Association Clement Nyaletsossi Voule in Geneva.

During the meeting, the Special Rapporteur was informed about the ongoing legal reforms in Kazakhstan.

 

The parties discussed issues of ensuring the rights of citizens to peaceful assemblies, and also exchanged views on the adopted Law "On the procedure for organizing and holding peaceful assemblies in the Republic of Kazakhstan".

 

The meeting was held in a constructive and business atmosphere.
