On June 1, 2021, the Minister of Justice M.B. Beketayev met with the Regional Representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Central Asia, Mr. Ryszard Komenda.

Approaches to the phased implementation of 14 national indicators for assessing compliance with human rights, accession to the Optional Protocols to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the communications procedure and to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities were discussed during the meeting.

The participants of the meeting also exchanged views on the draft law providing the improvement of the institutions of the bar and legal consultants.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement on cooperation in the framework of work on the phased implementation of 6 indicators in the field of human rights protection was reached .

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere.
