A round table on lawyer activities was held
On June 8, 2018, the Justice Department of the city of Astana held a round table on the validity and reliability of the applications of the Bar Association of Astana on payment of state-guaranteed legal aid and documents attached thereto for 5 months of 2018,as well as on increasing the number of lawyers taking part in the system of state-guaranteed legal aid.
Representatives of courts, law enforcement authoritiies and members of the Bar Association of Astana took part in this event.
During the event, the timing of the submission of applications for payment by the collegium of advocates was discussed, arithmetical errors,allowed in regulations,rendered by courts and authorities of investigation and inquiry,measures taken to increase the number of lawyers participating in the SLH.
As a result of the round table, a decision was made on the need to comply with the requirements of the current legislation in the sphere of providing state-guaranteed legal aid and taking measures to prevent such violations from happening again.
