On February 1, 2023, the Ministry of Justice, on the basis of a joint order of the Prosecutor General, the Minister of Justice and the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on the consideration of requests and views of human rights treaty bodies, whose competence has been recognized by the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter – the IWG) in relation to the individual communication (compliant) of T.Irzhanuly.
On August 4, 2022, the Office of the UN High Commissioner transmitted a note verbale in relation to a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan T.Irzhauly
№ 4196/2022 addressed to the state.
On the basis of international obligations, on February 1, under the chairmanship of A.Yekhlassova – the Director of the Department of International Law and Coordination of Human Rights Work of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, IWG meeting was held, at which the authorized bodies considered the request of the UN Human Rights Committee.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Supreme Court, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice.
Results will be announced by the UN Human Rights Committee within the time limits established by the Committee’s Rules of Procedure.
