On August 1, 2022, the Director of the Department of International Law and Coordination of Work of Human Rights of the Ministry of Justice, A.Yekhlasova met with the Human Rights Adviser in the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Sinem Kara.
A.Yekhlasova congratulated Sinem Kara on her appointment to the Office of the United Nations Resident and to the UN Country Team in Kazakhstan and informed about the human rights activities of the Ministry within the implementation of the Presidential Address of March 16 this year.
The Director of the Department noted the work of the Ministry of the preparation of reports under the Universal Periodic Review and the introduction of national Human Rights Assessment Indicators.
Sinem Kara thanked for the information provided and assured of further close cooperation between Kazakhstan and the UN.
The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.
