Types and objects of construction work in 2023

In 2023, construction works (services) in the amount of 245.6 billion tenge were performed in the Abay region, which is 28.3% more than in 2022.

According to the technological structure, the main volume of construction works in the region accounted for construction and installation works – 83.5% (205.1 billion tenge), the rest – for current and capital repairs – 8.8%

(21.5 billion tenge) and 7.7% (19.0 billion tenge), respectively. In the context of cities and districts in 2023 , the leaders were Semey – 45.0% (110.5 billion tenge), Ayagoz – 18.6% (45.6 billion tenge) and Urzhar district – 12.5% (30.6 billion tenge).

According to the types of objects under construction, the largest volumes were recorded in the construction of structures – 64.4% (158.2 billion tenge), in residential construction – 18.0% (44,3 billion tenge), and non-residential building – 17.6% (43.1 billion tenge).

Methodological explanations

The volume of construction work includes the cost of construction work, performed by enterprises, engaged in construction activities under concluded work contracts.
