It is planned to increase the number of flights at Semey Airport

Akim of the region Abai Nurlan Urankhayev visited the international airport in Semey.
The air harbor was put into operation in 1982. The airport's capacity is 200 passengers per hour, including 80% on domestic and 20% on international lines. The total area of the building is 3500 m2. Concrete runway, size 3100x45.
In 2015-2018, according to the state program "Nurly Zhol", work was carried out on the reconstruction of the runway, taxiway, as well as the construction of an emergency rescue station, a central distribution point, a boiler room, a water station and the reconstruction of the terminal. The cost of reconstruction then amounted to 10.715 billion tenge.
Currently, regular flights are operated on the following routes: Nur-Sultan – Semey – Nur-Sultan; Almaty – Semey – Almaty; Shymkent – Semey – Shymkent.
