There should be more safe swimming areas. This was noted by the akim of the region Abai Nurlan Urankhayev at a meeting with activists who have been trying to organize a beach space near the Mill on the left bank of the Irtysh for several years on their own.
Public activists of the Zhastar Semey Foundation asked for help with landscaping and garbage collection in the specified territory.
The head of the region, in turn, thanked the activists for their indifference to the development of the city of Semey.
"I have already said earlier that the city needs safe beaches with all the infrastructure. Therefore, we will consider options on how to turn the idea into reality," explained Akim of the region Abai Nurlan Urankhaev.
