"If there was a business here, everything would come alive. In the capital and Almaty, squares and parks are transferred to business management. It should be understood that the maintenance of such parks is a burden on the budget. When a business comes, it, in principle, takes care of everything: both electricity issues and snow removal work in winter. Business will make the park a place of attraction, will do everything to attract people. The state, to be honest, in my experience, cannot manage such things. It's not really easy for them," says Nurlan Urankhaev.
To the reasonable question of journalists about whether it would happen that the park would become paid in this case, the mayor answered in the negative.
"There can't be a paid park. Don't even worry about it. This is our city park. To begin with, if a business comes here, the land will not be registered for it. Everything will be on competitive terms. Business will do it much better. The entrance to the park will never be paid and will never become private," Nurlan Urankhayev assured.
The governor of the region also noted that flower stalls located near the park should be put in order so as not to spoil the view of the city. Instructions have been given to the relevant structures.
