Based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 887 dated May 3
2022 "On some issues of the administrative-territorial structure of the Republic of Kazakhstan", decisions of the Maslikhat of the Abai region No. 2/10- VII dated July 05, 2022 "On the management scheme of the Abai region", Resolutions of the Akimat of the Abai region No. 5 dated July 13, 2022 "On approval of the structure and staffing of state institutions of the Abai region" were formed GU "Management of passenger transport and highways of the Abai region" (hereinafter Management).
The Department provides four public services:
1) Subsidizing the carrier's losses related to the implementation of automobile passenger transportation on socially significant messages in inter-district (intercity intra-regional), intra-district, urban (rural) and suburban communications.
2) Coordination of the placement of outdoor (visual) advertising objects in the right-of-way of public roads of regional and district significance.
3) Issuance of a license for the right to engage in activities for the irregular transportation of passengers by buses, minibuses in intercity inter-regional, inter-district (intercity intra-regional) and intercity communications, as well as regular transportation of passengers by buses, minibuses in international traffic.
4) Issuance of a certificate for the right to operate a self-propelled small vessel.
