Haymaking without fire

Haymaking without fire

Currently, agricultural work is in full swing for harvesting hay and coarse feed. Hot, dry weather that occurs during the work, a large number of agricultural machinery, fuel and lubricants create a fire-dangerous situation. Careless handling of fire in the field or violation of requirements for fire safety of agricultural machinery are the main causes of fires in haymaking and in places where hay is stored.

In order to prevent a fire when harvesting hay, you must strictly observe the fire safety rules. Before the start of hay harvesting, all persons involved in it must pass a fire-prevention instruction under the signature in a special magazine, which must be at the head of the farm. Harvesting units must be equipped with primary fire extinguishing equipment (combines - two fire extinguishers, two bayonet shovels and two brooms, tractors-one fire extinguisher, one bayonet shovel, one broom). All agricultural machinery involved in hay harvesting must be equipped with serviceable spark arresters, have regulated power, ignition, and lubrication systems. A spark suppressor is a device at the exhaust gas outlet from a silencer with a grid with small holes that exclude the flight of sparks from the silencer. It is forbidden to use for haymaking any kind of homemade equipment that has not been registered in accordance with the established procedure. It is not allowed to use an open fire or perform welding operations in the field. The territory of the hayloft should be fenced around the perimeter with a fence or bowed down with an earthen rampart. The area for placing ricks should be plowed along the perimeter with a strip of at least 4 meters wide and equipped with lightning protection. Haylofts should be provided with a supply of water in case of fire. Haystacks should be located at least 4 meters from the edge of the field, at least 50 meters from buildings or structures, 20 meters from roads and power lines. The distance between the ricks should be at least 20 meters, and the area of the ricks ' bases should not exceed 150 square meters. metres'. Responsibility for ensuring fire safety during haymaking is assigned directly to the heads of economic entities and individuals engaged in haymaking.
