We will save forest and steppe areas from fires

Fire is merciless. And you can't forget about it, especially in the hot summer time. The dry and windy climate, the abundance of grassy vegetation characteristic of most regions of Kazakhstan, contributes to the rapid spread of the steppe fire over a huge area. Unfortunately, the burning of tens and hundreds of hectares of rich, forest and steppe areas, hayfields and pastures is due to human fault.

How to put out a small forest fire?

- determine the wind direction and speed of fire propagation;

- send a messenger to the nearest village to warn the inhabitants of the fire, call for help;

- cover the fire with earth, fill it with water;

-with a bundle of 1.5-2 meter branches or wet clothes, sweep away the flame, "driving" it into the ground;

- trample down a small fire;

- after putting out the fire, do not rush to leave, make sure that the fire does not flare up again.

If you are in a fire zone:

- if it is impossible to extinguish the fire yourself, you need to determine the direction of fire propagation and exit route;

- if possible, try to move to the other side of the river( stream), take a dip in the reservoir;

- in case of heavy smoke, move in a Crouch, covering your nose and mouth with a wet handkerchief (sleeve, hollow clothing);

- keep in mind that falling trees can pose a serious danger;

- exit the danger zone should be to windward (against the wind) perpendicular to the edge of the fire;

- if a peat field (swamp) is burning, do not try to extinguish it – it is dangerous: move against the wind, examining and feeling the road with a pole, as the peat burns out, forms voids into which you can fall;

- report the fire to the rescue service on the phone "101, 112".

It is forbidden in the forest:

- throw burning matches, cigarette butts;

- use wads made of flammable or smoldering materials;

- leave the material oiled or impregnated with flammable substances;

- fill fuel tanks, smoke near the car;

- to plant fires, to burn out the grass;

- leave bottles, broken glass that can become incendiary lenses.
