WHO warns of the danger of a new stage of the pandemic

A very dangerous stage of the coronavirus pandemic has come, said Tedros Adanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization.

According to him, now the states that have the tools to fight the virus, first of all — vaccines, are easing restrictions.

"Meanwhile, countries that do not have access to effective means are facing waves of hospitalization and deaths. This is compounded by new strains of the virus, " the head of the WHO continued.

According to Gebreyesus, the only way out in this situation is a fair distribution of tests, vaccines, medicines and protective equipment between countries.
