Spring is considered the most fire-dangerous season, when the snow has just come down, there is still last year's dry grass, and the green has not yet grown. During this period, a fire can occur due to any mistake, because of an abandoned cigarette butt, because of broken glass heated by the sun, because of special burning of dry grass and uncontrolled burning of garbage when cleaning territories!
To prevent the occurrence of a fire it is necessary to know and follow the basic rules of fire safety:
- promptly clean the site and the surrounding area from combustible waste, fallen leaves and grass;
- do not burn garbage near buildings;
- do not clutter the driveways of streets leading to private homes and garden plots with tree branches and debris, construction and other combustible materials, as this prevents the passage of fire trucks;
- observe safety precautions when operating electrical networks, household appliances, gas appliances;
— be careful when using open fires: candles, kerosene and blowtorches, do not leave them unattended;
- do not allow children to play pranks with fire.
In private homes, garbage that cannot be used in any way should be collected in a container and taken to a specially equipped garbage area. In each residential building and on the garden plot, it is necessary to have fire extinguishing equipment and fire-fighting equipment: a container with water (a barrel) or a fire extinguisher, a cat, a bucket, a shovel and a ladder.
For non-compliance with the requirements for the protection of atmospheric air and fire safety when storing and burning industrial and household waste, violators will be brought to administrative responsibility under Article 336 of the KRKobAP.
