Akim of the Abai region Nurlan Urankhayev got acquainted with the work of Semipalatinsk secondary special educational institutions

Today is an open Day dedicated to the Day of the employer
in organizations of technical and vocational education. Akim of the region Nurlan Urankhayev visited colleges of Semey.

Nurlan Urankhayev got acquainted with the work of the Geological Exploration College, the College of Geodesy and Cartography, the College of Electrical Engineering and the College of Business and Service. The head of the region positively assessed the work of educational institutions and noted that the organizations of technical and vocational education are designed to teach in the specialties in demand today.

Workshops, laboratories, classrooms were presented to the head of the region. Nurlan Urankhayev also talked with students and teachers, asked what questions there are today. In addition, the akim of the region met with the participants of the upcoming republican and world WorldSkills tournaments and wished them good luck.

Summing up the results of the trip, Nurlan Urankhayev focused his attention on the fact that the region needs highly qualified specialists in various fields.

💬 "Our city is a student city. Secondary special education has always been our flagship, we trained good specialists. We have a new field, we need working professions and therefore we have to work with colleges. They are quite advanced here. There is good equipment," concluded Nurlan Urankhayev.
