PASSED THE SECOND (QUALIFYING) THE STAGE OF the PRESIDENTIAL OLYMPIAD in the subjects of the natural-mathematical cycle

On October 27, 2022, students of the Abai region took part in the second (qualifying) stage of the presidential Olympiad in subjects of the natural and mathematical cycle, which was held on the Vedic day throughout the republic. The Olympiad was attended only by graduates of the 11th grade of the current academic year of general education organizations, who entered the top twenty at the regional round of the Olympiad.

              Goals and objectives of the Olympiad:

1) creating optimal conditions for identifying gifted students in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology among students of secondary education organizations, their further intellectual development and professional orientation;

2) increasing the interest of students in the study of natural-mathematical subjects, deepening theoretical knowledge and skills;

3) promoting self-realization and self-development of the individual.

     The qualifying round consisted of two stages:

Testing.It started at 10 o'clock in Astana time throughout the republic. Each participant completed 60 tasks in four subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology in the language of his training. The execution time is 2 hours.
Essay. From 12.00 to 13.00, the children wrote essays to choose from the given topics.The essays of the participants were scanned and sent to the Republican organizing committee.

            In order to ensure an objective assessment of the participants' work, as well as transparency of the conduct and compliance with academic integrity, the course of the Olympiad was broadcast via a YouTube channel.
