The largest number of fires occurs in the winter, during the heating season.
The employees of the Emergency Situations Department and Fire Station No. 22 of the Ayagoz District conduct daily rounds of the residential sector of the city, weekly "Fire Safety Saturdays" are held, where citizens are explained the rules of fire safety in places with a large number of people (in the private residential sector), and in apartment buildings, fire safety memos are posted at the entrances to educate residents on fire safety measures.
Violation of fire safety rules when using stove heating is an invariable cause of fires during the heating season. Using stove heating every day, a person begins to lose vigilance, which is unacceptable. After all, the heat emanating from the stove, creating coziness in your home, requires special attention, since it brings not only joy, but also, if used incorrectly, can lead to a fire.
Many homeowners do not follow the heating mode of their stoves, and try to heat the stove in the morning so that it will be hot enough until the evening. As a result, the walls of the fireboxes, chimneys and pipes crack, which can cause a fire.
Most stoves are laid by unskilled self-taught workers who violate fire safety requirements when installing stoves and chimneys, which creates a real threat of fire and loss of life.
To prevent the "hearth" from becoming a source of fire, in order to prevent fires and loss of life in the residential sector, the employees of the Emergency Situations Department of the Ayagoz District urge citizens to comply with fire safety rules when installing and operating heating stoves:
- stoves and other heating devices must have fire-resistant separations (indentations) from combustible structures established by standards, have a pre-fireplace metal sheet of at least 50x70 cm in size without burnouts and damage (on a wooden or other floor made of combustible materials);
- it is necessary to clean chimneys and stoves from soot before the start and also during the entire heating season at least once every three months;
- in attics, all chimneys and walls in which smoke channels pass must be whitewashed.
- the stove, chimney in places of connection with wooden attic or interfloor floors must have a thickening of brickwork - a cut. Do not forget about the thickening of the walls of the stove.
- any stove must have an independent foundation and not adjoin the entire plane of one of the walls to wooden structures. It is necessary to leave an air gap between them - an indentation.
- to prevent overheating of the stove, it is recommended to heat it 2-3 times a day and no more than an hour and a half.
- 3 hours before going to bed, the stove should be stopped.
- do not dry things and wet firewood on the stove. And make sure that furniture and curtains are at least half a meter away from the massif of the burning stove.
When using stove heating, it is prohibited to:
- leave burning stoves unattended, entrust supervision of them to young children;
- place fuel, other flammable substances and materials on the stove and the firebox sheet;
- use gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel and other flammable and combustible liquids to light the stoves;
- use ventilation and gas ducts as chimneys;
- overheat the stoves. Emergencies of the Ayagoz District
