More than 2,500 residents of the Abay region have entered into marriage since the beginning of the year

A wedding is an important and serious step in the life of every person. The first stage of marriage is filing an application and receiving a marriage certificate. Since the beginning of the year, 2,730 couples have married in the Abay region, and 448 families have filed for divorce.

In order to register a marriage, future newlyweds must apply for marriage registration through the Civil Registry Offices in the Public Service Centers, and they can also apply through the e-government portal egov.kz.

When submitting an application, you must present the following documents: identity documents; divorce certificates, if one of the applicants is remarrying; birth certificates of children, if there are children; a receipt for payment of the state fee (3,864 tenge in 2024, paid at the cash desk of any bank).

After the registry office representative accepts your application and documents, a date for registration at the registry office will be set for the fifteenth calendar day, which is calculated from the next working day after filing the application for marriage.

On the appointed date, you must come to the registry office and receive a marriage certificate.

From this day on, you are considered husband and wife. And your marriage is considered officially registered.
