An event dedicated to the Day of the Elderly was held in the public service centers of the city of Semey

October 1 is the International Day of Older Persons in Kazakhstan. In honor of the holiday, the branch of the State Corporation in the city of Semey held an event. On this day, employees of the public service centers congratulated the older generation and issued pension certificates.

It should be noted that about 23 service recipients apply to the front offices of the branch per day for the appointment of a pension. In total, about 800 citizens applied on the Day of Older Persons across the country. At the same time, the largest number of pension certificates were issued in the city of Almaty and in the Turkestan region, the least - in the Ulytau region.

By the way, today there are about 2.5 million pensioners in Kazakhstan, over 100 thousand of them live in Semey.
