Almost 100 thousand citizens receive pension payments in the Abay region

Today, there are 99,108 citizens receiving pension payments in the Abay region. This number also includes pensioners of law enforcement agencies. In 2024, 3,746 people applied for pension payments; the average pension in the region is 92,663 tenge.

Since July 1, 2001, male Kazakhstanis retire at 63 years old. To date, the retirement age for them remains unchanged. In 2024, women retire, as in 2023 - at 61 years old.

At the same time, according to the law, women who have given birth to (adopted) five or more children and raised them to the age of eight have the right to old-age pension payments (joint pension) upon reaching 53 years of age.

To assign pension payments, the following documents are provided:

- identity card, stateless person certificate, foreigner residence permit, oralman certificate;

- information about the bank account number in the authorized organization for issuing pensions and benefits or the cash control account of the correctional institution;

- work record book;

- military ID;

- diploma (full-time education);

- employment contract;

- individual entrepreneur coupon;

- photo 3 * 4 - 1 pc.

Women retiring must additionally provide: birth certificate of children and identity card of children (if there is no identity card of children, they must provide a school certificate or a certificate from school for children), as well as a marriage certificate (for women and their children when changing their surname), a birth certificate, if the woman's surname changed upon marriage
