Often, residents of the Abay region turn to the Public Service Center after the document has expired. However, according to the Code of Administrative Offences, residence of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan without registration or without identification documents for more than one month entails a fine of 7 MCI.
You can replace your ID card at any public service center, regardless of your place of registration. You just need to present the old document and pay a state fee of 0.2 MCI. The new document will be ready within 15 working days.
Also, we note that an identity card is issued to Kazakhstanis from the age of 16. The teenager must apply for the first document to the Public Service Center together with one of the parents or guardians. When registering, you must have your birth certificate, passport (if you have one) and a receipt for payment of the state fee.
Let us remind you that those citizens who changed their last name or first name due to marriage/divorce, or for other reasons, must also promptly replace their identity card.
It should be noted that government services for issuing identity documents are provided by migration police officers who also work in public service centers.
