We need a serious fight against corruption

We must start by developing the anti-corruption consciousness of young people. Therefore, it is necessary to correctly convey information about the negative consequences of corruption to the younger generation, help them create an anti-corruption culture, and better understand their rights and responsibilities. For this, first of all, an anti-corruption consciousness is necessary. In the conditions of the formation of anti-corruption consciousness, a person begins to distance himself from inhumanity and prevent the commission of illegal actions.

To form an anti-corruption culture among young people, our youth must recognize corruption as a particularly dangerous social disease that hinders the development of the country. Anti-corruption culture can also be low or high, depending on the legal literacy of each person. A good knowledge of the legislation in the state strengthens the confidence of each person in his actions.

In 2014, the “Anti-Corruption Strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2025” was adopted. Particular attention in this strategy is paid to the formation of an anti-corruption culture in society. In the course of implementing anti-corruption policies in developed countries, special attention is paid to the spiritual renunciation of corruption. Therefore, it is better to begin the formation of an anti-corruption culture from educational institutions. We must educate the younger generation to be absolutely intolerant of corruption. Nowadays, the legal awareness of citizens of Kazakhstan is being raised to eradicate all types of corruption. Because they inadvertently remain participants in corruption due to the lack of anti-corruption education. Today, helplines have been installed in government agencies. Articles on the provision of public services are published in the media, and anti-corruption internships are conducted for government employees.

In general, in our country, from the first days of independence, anti-corruption actions have been carried out that meet international standards.

As we have already said, the “Anti-Corruption Strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2025” is the basis of anti-corruption policy. This strategy notes that a set of anti-corruption measures should be carried out with the participation of the public. When the state and society have a close relationship, we can resist corruption. Also in the strategy, intolerance towards corruption should become the civic position of every Kazakhstani, and honesty and non-saleability should become the norm of behavior. It is necessary to work with generations to create an anti-corruption culture. It is necessary to educate a person from childhood in the spirit of Kazakhstani patriotism and rejection of corruption. The goal of the strategy is to increase the effectiveness of the state’s anti-corruption policy, to involve the entire society in the anti-corruption movement by creating a situation of “zero tolerance” for any manifestations of corruption and reducing the level of corruption in Kazakhstan.

The 13th step of the Nation Plan “100 concrete steps” also clearly outlines the issues of strengthening the fight against corruption. I think all this will allow us to achieve real results in the fight against corruption.
