Currently, cases of unauthorized access (hacking) in the WhatsApp messenger have become more frequent. On behalf of the victims, a mailing is sent to all contacts with a request to borrow money, and the details of third party bank accounts are indicated.
It has been established that attackers gain access to a personal What’sApp account using a malicious link, and after citizens click on the specified link, they gain access to their account. In this regard, we warn and urge citizens not to click on dubious links that are circulated, as a rule, in the form of prize draws, voting for children, questionnaires on any topic, etc., and not to enter their personal data.”
If you suspect that you accidentally followed a suspicious link, you can check for parallel access to your WhatsApp account by going to “Settings” in the application and going to the “Linked devices” tab. If this tab displays an unknown device that you have not linked, immediately exit this session. It's best to enable two-step verification to enhance the security of your account.
I also ask that if you have received similar messages from friends asking you to borrow money, before sending, you should call your friend and make sure that you really need the money.
You must remember that your safety directly depends only on you.
