It is NECESSARY to remove chairs, cribs, and other pieces of furniture from the window, because... the baby can easily climb onto the windowsill. CLOSE the balcony door. DO NOT leave your child unattended in the apartment. DO NOT hold small children near an open window; the child may escape if he sees something interesting.
