Fires due to careless handling of fire are always associated with frivolity and distraction of a person. Obviously, such incidents will never be completely avoided. However, it is quite possible to reduce the likelihood of a fire in everyday life. All that is needed is a simple consciousness, as well as a clear understanding of how much depends on each individual person in this matter.
It is often possible to observe how individual people, while lighting, throw matches and cigarette butts anywhere, smoke in forbidden places, put cigarette butts on wooden objects, near materials that can ignite at the slightest contact with fire. Causing smoldering of combustible material, the cigarette butt itself goes out after a while. But the center of corruption formed by him under favorable conditions can turn into a fire. In conditions that provide a concentration of heat (in practice, these are hidden wooden structures, accumulated waste), after carbonization of the place of contact with a smoldering cigarette, self-heating of combustible materials takes place, and then ignition. In this case, the smoldering time varies from one to four hours, depending on the size of the combustible material located in the region of the smoldering burn, and the conditions of heat transfer. It follows that fires caused by an unexpired cigarette are more common than it might seem at first glance. Cigarette butts thrown from balconies or windows can also provoke a fire if they fall on balconies or loggias of lower floors, where they often store old items, containers with combustible and flammable liquids. A cigarette butt can get into the apartment through an open window, where the conditions for the development of combustion can be the most favorable.
That is why, leaving the house or any room, it is mandatory to close the windows and windows so as not to become affected by the fire, due to the irresponsible attitude of some citizens. After all, throwing an unlit cigarette, they don’t even think about what tragedy a casually thrown cigarette butt could lead to, and even more so from balconies of higher floors. With such fires, fire often penetrates apartments.
Remember, if you follow the basic rules of fire safety, you can avoid a fire.
