Employees of the Department for Emergency Situations of the Ayagozsky District carry out preventive measures on a daily basis with peasant farms and with citizens resting in nature, with instructions to explain fire safety rules during a fire hazard period. The fire hazard period is a temporary stage during which the most intense occurrence of fires and ignitions is noted. During the year, there are several such periods inherent in certain categories of fires. For example, in winter there is an increase in fire hazard in the private residential sector, this is due to the use of stoves and other heating equipment. At the same time, there has been an increase in carbon monoxide poisoning. In the autumn-spring period, a frequent cause of fires is the burning of garbage in the fields and household plots, careless handling of fire during trips to nature. In summer, when dry weather sets in, fires often occur due to uncontrolled burning of dead wood, careless handling of fire when making fires, etc. Lightning can be a source of fire that does not depend on a person, in other cases the responsibility lies entirely with people, so the main responsibility for safety during a fire hazard period will be to exclude the appearance of external ignition factors. Since the root cause of fire in most cases is the wrong behavior of a person, legislative acts provide for certain restrictions and prohibitions during a particular fire hazard period. And therefore, in order to prevent fires at enterprises and organizations, lectures and conversations are held on the rules of behavior in nature, preventive actions at work and at home, trainings are held on evacuation, extinguishing and emergency measures for victims. Every responsible citizen must know how to behave and be able to use primary fire extinguishing equipment. Both adults and children are taught the basic rules of fire safety. In the summer, when the weather is dry and windy, the risk of wildfires increases. In order to prevent them, the population must strictly and responsibly comply with fire safety requirements: - it is not allowed to throw burning matches, cigarette butts and shake out hot ash from smoking pipes; - it is not allowed to make fires in young coniferous forests, old burnt areas, in areas of damaged forest (windfall, windfall), cutting areas with logging residues and harvested wood, in places with dried grass, as well as under tree crowns; - glassware should be taken with you, as sunlight passing through glass can focus and set fire to dry grass; - campfires are made on sites bordered by a mineralized strip at least four meters wide. The fire is carefully covered with earth or filled with water until the smoldering completely stops. Do not build a large fire in strong winds. Do not leave the fire unattended; - to prevent the spread of fire from forests and steppes to settlements, carry out measures to remove combustible garbage and clean up the territory of settlements, clean up dry vegetation and restore mineralized strips; - in case of natural fires, it is necessary to immediately inform the fire service by calling 101, 112.
